Bradley Manning, the soldier who leaked, among other things, a 2007 video of U.S. airstrikes in Baghdad that killed two unarmed Reuters correspondents, is going to trial soon. The pivotal question: did he actually endanger lives or was the leaked information harmless? As if the tens of thousands of Iraqi victims of an eight year war in Iraq will not loom over the whole trial, making it an absurd and incongruous spectacle. If convicted, a man who pulled at the veil of Christian pretension, and showed us the Leviathan underbelly of America, will be locked away and the veil refitted.
